  • I have not been able to find a marriage between William White and Harriet Crozier in either the GRO or the parish records. They may not have actually married - though Harriet adopted the WHITE name and used it to register the birth of her children. In the 1891 census, Harriet is listed as a Widow. A few weeks later on 28th April she indicates to her daughter, Gertrude's, school that William White is her guardian. Most likely that the father of her children is William Henry (2) White.
