Florence MAKEPEACE ( -1984)

Flo had been engaged to a man who was killed during World War 1. She never married. She once lived in Paris where she worked for a doctor and his family. During WW1, they were evacuated from Paris, Flo walked from Paris to the French coast with a baby (the doctor's and his wife's?) on her back. She later was in Edinburgh with the Doctor and family. She ran a number of nursinghomes in Worthing and spent much of her life as a "Companion" to the old.
